How to enhance emotional well-being and create a deeper connection to self, and others.

Have you ever been surrounded by people, yet felt completely alone, unseen?

Have you ever just felt stuck in life? Like you are going through the motions on autopilot without ever taking in the beauty of life around you?

Wanting to feel connected isn't new, we are human beings, social creatures and we are hard wired to seek connection.

Connection to self, to others, to life. because inside connection is where the good things happen. Our connected relationships with others encourage growth, inspiration, insight and new ways of thinking.

We can go through day to day life from behind masks, disconnected, but that comes at a price.. We end up feeling lost, stuck depressed, alone.

Loneliness is debilitating to so many of us.

There is a way to turn it around though, the antidote to loneliness is connection.

Here is one thing I know to be true, I must stand confident in myself in order to attract like hearted people. If I do not put my ridiculousness out there, how am I going to find ridiculous friends who make me laugh out loud?

So before you can connect to anyone else, you must be connected to self. Take the time to discover your likes, dislikes, deepest desires for adventure, or peace and quiet.

If you want to create self connection, I invite you to begin by scheduling in some time with yourself. You are worthy of taking time for yourself, you know!

Grab a journal and ask yourself some deep questions.

-What makes you happiest, right now?

-What is your proudest accomplishment?

-What am I most grateful for?

-What music do you like?

Take a walk in nature, and allow yourself to be present. Listen to the sounds around you, feel the scents engage memories of exploring the woods as kids, free and innocent. Take notice of what makes you smile?

Don't forget to get in touch with your body. Be it walking, dancing or swimming, Do something physical that allows your body to feel something! Fall in love with your body for how it feels and what it does for you.

Listen to your gut, heart, instincts... whatever you call it, listen to it!

Slow down, and really listen to what feels right in your life, and do it.

Do it with joy, vigor and create your own happiness out loud so that others who find their joy in the same things can find you.

The more you step into doing the things you love, the more self connected you will naturally become.
